I have practiced law in the Boulder area since 1993. I specialize in consulting with new business owners on Business Entity Formation, advising parties in real estate transactions and drafting simple wills and trusts for the modest estate.

New Business Formation

In deciding whether to work as a corporation or a LLC (limited liability company) there are many legal and tax matters to consider.  My practice is focused on assisting the small business owner in making this decision and formalizing the incorporation process.

Real Estate

Offering legal review of real estate purchase and sale contracts for FSBOs and contract drafting assistance for buyers who are working with or without a real estate broker.  Complete "Contract-to-Closing" services.

I have worked as a real estate broker in Colorado as well as an attorney.  I can help you with the complexity of the documents involved and explain the fine points of negotiation in the contract process.

Wills & Trusts

Everyone should have a simple will, a medical durable power of attorney and a living will, no matter your age or circumstances.  And, if you have minor children, you will need to provide for their guardianship if you should die suddenly.  You can use a Will or Trust document to address these concerns. I would be glad to consult with you regarding your particular circumstances. I specialize in writing wills for same sex couples or clients with non-traditional family structures.

I graduated from the University of Wyoming School of Law.  I have lived in the Boulder area for over 20 years.  I belong to the Colorado and Boulder County Bar Association and have done pro bono work for Boulder County Legal Aid and have been involved in the community schools for the last 15 years.
